The Super Q coil is revered by audiophiles and engineers throughout the world as the best performing magnetic core coil. The Super Q takes the performance of the IXQ coils to another level, with reduced THD distortion, FM distortion and D.C resistance. The Super Q core utilizes ERSE’s micro thin grain oriented low loss steel. The low loss steel is then stamped to a unique shape which helps fine tune the flux field for optimal audio performance. After the core is stamped it goes through ERSE’s special annealing process to maintain the crystalline grain structure of the core. The core is then hand stacked to an exact number of sheets to insure that each core is exactly the same. After stacking the core it is then placed into a special built plastic mold which pinches the steel stack tightly under pressure. Then the Super Q core is over molded with high temperature polycarbonate. The core is left in the mold two times the normal time to insure the plastic has fully cured. ERSE’s unique over molding procedure is one hundred times stronger than varnish and virtually eliminates FM distortion. No other magnetic core coil can claim such low FM distortion. After the cores are manufactured and inspected for quality each Super Q is then wound like all of our “Q” series coils. We use high purity OFC copper wire utilizing ERSE’s PURITY GUARANTEE. The wire is then evenly wound with computerized winding equipment and hysteresis tension devices insuring the high crystalline cell structure of the OFC copper is not broken. All of the unique manufacturing processes followed here by ERSE make Super Q one of the best performing sonically excellent magnetic core coils available today.
